Boca Raton police say they've received three reports since Thursday of incidents where someone randomly shot a BB gun at people in east Boca Raton.

"I'm surprised to hear that we have people shooting with a BB gun here because that is so dangerous," said Boca Raton resident Meg Macy.

"I sure would like to get them off the street. That's what I like to think," said Jeffrey Levi, who lives in Mizner Park. "That could take an eye out. that's pretty lousy around town for somebody to be doing that.

Police say the incidents happened in the area of Glades Road and Northwest 15th Avenue.

According to police, several victims have been struck by BBs as they were eating outdoors, walking or waiting at a bus stop.

"It's a little concerning coming from a car where people are sitting out in the street enjoying the night, eating out at the restaurants and supporting the city, that's not good," Levi said.

Detectives believe all three cases are linked to a suspect white vehicle.  The vehicle may be a Dodge Charger with a plastic cover over the front passenger window.

"I hope they find it because it's dangerous for everybody," Macy said. "Kids, dogs here, everybody."
