BOCA RATON, Fla. -- A man was killed and a woman was critically injured in a Boca Raton crash Friday night.
31-year-old Nicholas William Thomas was driving a 2011 Toyota Corolla southbound on Ponderosa Drive approaching the intersection of Palmetto Park Road when he veered to the left and traveled onto the grassy shoulder of the road.
The vehicle struck a tree and Thomas was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His passenger, 34-year-old Pamela Emilia Osnato was hospitalized in critical condition.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seatbelts.
