Firefighters in Boca Raton said a man escaped his apartment during a kitchen fire Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesperson said firefighters put out the flames before they spread to neighboring apartments.
They even rescued a cat in the unit above the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
The fire happened just after 3 p.m. at the Coach Houses of Town Center.
