Boca Raton restaurant Jimmy the Greek is back open eleven days after its owner was stabbed to death.

Although Jimmy is gone he’s not being forgotten. Family and employees are wearing shirts commemorating his life and his passion for cooking.

Faithful customers were quick to show up when the doors opened Monday morning, eager for the food, and to support the family.

Investigators say Jimmy was stabbed to death by an employee Tilus Lebrun on March 13th.

His wife Maria says reopening the restaurant was what Jimmy would've wanted.

“He’s got a crew in here that needs to support all of their families. And he would never want us to mourn. He would want us to live life to the fullest to go on and just be happy and healthy and just keep it going,” said Maria Karaloukas.

The family says it is determined to carry on Jimmy's legacy.

Story update to reflect correct name of suspect.
