BOCA RATON, Fla. — Happy family in 90 days. It may sound too good to be true, but a Boca Raton mom and parenting coach swears she has a program that works.
Elise Montgomerie, a life and parenting coach, created the program after struggling with her own kids.
She starts off asking parents this: "How much time do you actually spend, when you put your electronics away, and you are giving them your undivided attention?"
Stop and think about that when your kids are screaming, fighting, whining, not listening.
"I create a family that you want to run towards, not away from anymore," she said.
Montgomerie, a life and parenting coach, promises to make your family happy in 90 days. She said she saw the need for a blueprint after her son was diagnosed with autism.
"I needed somebody to hold my hand, and tell me exactly what to do," said Montgomerie.
Her program has two parts, connection and discipline. She targets difficult times with unique routines for bedtime, mealtime, morning and after school.
"All of the hot points that are difficult for parents," she said.
Montgomerie does her one on one sessions over FaceTime, because after work, parents are tired and it can be hard to get two people in the same place at the same time. She also teaches at schools in Palm Beach County.
