The office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs encouraged students to decorate white paper sacks. They will put lights in the sacks during Thursday’s vigil.
Students wrote the names of the deceased and messages like “We are one Pulse” and “I may not be gay, lesbian, bisexual, intersexual, transgender, pansexual or asexual. I just support his crazy idea that everyone should have equal rights” on the sacks.
The public is invited to a vigil Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the College of Medicine. It will include a discussion about issues facing the LGBT community.
There will also be a mobile blood bank on campus if anyone wants to donate blood.
