WEST BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Deputies rescued an elderly woman from a sinking car in a canal on Saturday.
Deputies responded to a serious injury crash in the area of Century Village and East Village Drive near Boca Raton.
One of the vehicles from the crash ended up in the water and was being slowly submerged with an elderly female driver still in the vehicle.
Two deputies were able to retrieve her from the water and save her from drowning.
There is no word on her condition.
