The Child Rescue Coalition created a software to track who is downloading and sharing child pornography across the world. Law enforcement agencies in 64 countries use the system to hunt down the worst offenders.
Director Carly Yoost said the program has led to the arrest of 8,000 people and saved 1,900 children from abusive situations.
Yoost is in a competition to win $25,000. L'Oreal Paris makeup sponsors a “Women of Worth” campaign every year. Yoost made it to the final ten competitors. Now, she needs votes to help her win the competition and prize money.
Yoost said the money would allow her team train 100 more law enforcement officers with the system.
“What we do is push these leads to investigators all over the world to see who in their jurisdiction is the worst of the worst offenders,” she explained.
