BOCA RATON, Fla.-- Rachel Zietz is just old enough to get a driver’s license and she’s already considered one of the most influential people in her age group.
The Boca Raton teenager has recently been featured in TIME Magazine’slist of Most Influential Teens of 2016 and Fortune Magazine’s listof Entrepreneurs Under 18.
Four years ago, Zietz founded a high-end lacross equipment company named Gladiator Lacrosse. The company sells items online and will soon have items sold in Dick’s Sporting Goods stores. She told TIME she’s on track to exceed $2 million in sales in 2016 and $10 million by 2017. As her next venture, the teenager is working to develop headgear for players that will help to prevent concussions.
Fortune interviewed her about her vision for life in 20 years. “Doing something business-related. I don’t know what the future will hold for me in 20 years, but I hope that I can look back and say that I somehow left my mark in the sport of lacrosse,” she said.
