OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office is warning citizens to be wary of any phone calls they receive soliciting donations for a "Law Enforcement Families of Survival Fund".
The Sheriff's Office stresses that the people making the calls are not confirmed to be with any group known to the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office.
They say it's a good idea to never give or agree to any donations over the phone for agencies with which you did not initiate the call.
