2 arrested, pot plants confiscated in grow house bust, Okeechobee Co. Sheriff's Office says

The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office says it has busted a marijuana grow house operation.

Armed with a search warrant detectives and a special response team raided a home at 2874 NW 33rd Avenue earlier this week.

One detective says he could smell growing marijuana as he approached the residence.

Inside investigators say they found about 117 marijuana plants along with timers, lights, fans, hoses and a watering system.

Detectives arrested Jhoan Quiala-Alvarez, 33, of Stuart and Yam B. Perera Nunez, 31, of Okeechobee.

They are charged with the sale or manufacture of a controlled substance
