TEQUESTA, Fla. — A firefighter is recovering after battling a blaze that erupted early Tuesday in the attic of a home at the Tequesta Country Club.
The fire started just after 3 a.m. Tuesday at a home along River Drive.
Firefighters said the flames started in the attic. Firefighters from Tequesta, Palm Beach County and Martin County responded to the fire and were able to keep the flames from spreading to other parts of the home.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
The injured firefighter was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
