A new forecast from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts moderate levels of red tide until the end of the week.
At the Juno Beach Pier, it's hard to break traditions for Johnny, Jessica, Margie, and Rafael. "Come here to unwind," said Johnny.
Every Wednesday, they're at the pier. Last Wednesday they were there despite the red tide. "Still kept the tradition," said Johnny.
Fast forward a week and it's better, but still concerning. "Really hope it's going to be gone," said Margie.
Oceanographers with NOAA say, after looking at satellite imagery, checking wind conditions and samples, moderate levels are forecast from the Martin County line to southern Palm Beach County.
Lifeguards on the beach continue to experience mild symptoms.
Palm Beach County leaders took samples and are hoping for better results in the next few days.
