Authorities say a driver died and his passenger was critically injured when their motorcycle crashed Sunday night near North Palm Beach.
52-year-old Daniel Palm Jr., of Palm Beach Gardens, was heading north in the 10,000 block of Jack Nicklaus Drive around 10: 48 p.m. when he lost control of his Harley, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
As he tried to regain control, his left foot floorboard scraped the ground causing him to leave the road, overturn and eject Palm and his female passenger, a traffic report stated.
Palm and his vehicle ended up hitting a metal street sign and he died at the scene and his passenger was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, PBSO said.
