A lockdown has been lifted at Dwyer High School after a suspect was arrested in connection with a car theft.
The incident happened near Military Trail and Donald Ross Road close to the Evergrene development just before 10 a.m.
The thief first stole the car at an unspecified location in the area around 9:54 a.m. The person later abandoned the vehicle and fled the area on foot.
Officers arrived and took him into custody.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
The lockdown was lifted at Dwyer High School shortly before 11 a.m.
The @DwyerHS Code Red has been lifted. It was due to police activity in the area. All students & staff are safe and secure.
