Police said a 20-year-old Belle Glade man was shot and killed Sunday night in Palm Beach Gardens, closing a portion of the Beeline Highway overnight.
The shooting occurred just before 7:45 p.m. just north of the Northlake Boulevard, according to Major Paul Rogers with the Palm Gardens Police Department.
One victim, Dan Keshawn Johnson III, 20, of Belle Glade, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, whose name has not been released, was also shot and is being treated for their injuries.
Police blocked off Beeline Highway between Northlake and PGA boulevards for much of the night. However, all roads were back open by 4 a.m. Monday.
Palm Beach Gardens police said the incident is actively being investigated as a homicide and it appears this shooting was not a random act.
