Firefighters battled a brush fire in Palm Beach Gardens Tuesday afternoon.
It was located near the Quaye apartment complex along South Gardens Drive.
Firefighters said no homes were evacuated however, it came close and even melted a few light fixtures.
The fire was brought under control by 5:40 p.m.
Earlier Tuesday Florida Gov. Rick Scott issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency in Florida following the recent wildfires across the state and the potential for increased wildfires to continue this year.
