The FBI has posted a reward up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a former Palm Beach Gardens middle school teacher.

There is a warrant for the arrest of Corey Dejuan Perry for the production of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and enticement.

Perry was a teacher and coached basketball at H. L. Watkins Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens. He also is credited with launching the Robotics and Engineering Academy at the school where he was even recognized by the governor for his efforts.

He was last seen in Fort Lauderdale on March 26 around 2:45 p.m., according to the FBI.

His rental vehicle was found in Fort Lauderdale with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition on April 7, the FBI said.

Mike, who didn’t want to share his last name, said he saw a handful of FBI agents canvassing the industrial complex near I-95 and Stirling Road where he works last Friday.

“It’s kind of crazy when you’re sitting here at work and you have the FBI running around looking for somebody and you don’t know what’s going on,” explained Mike, a mechanic at HBM Tires and Lube.

He added the agents focused their attention on a red Hyundai which was parked alongside his building for several nights. But he did not know who it belonged to.

The agency thinks Perry might be in Nashville, Tenn., where he has relatives.

Agents think he might have shaved and could be wearing a disguise.
