PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The Donald Ross Road bridge span over the Intracoastal Waterway was temporarily stuck in the closed position Sunday afternoon, according to a spokesman for Palm Beach County government.
This meant cars could pass over the bridge, but boats tall enough to need the span open couldn't pass underneath, John Jamason said in a news release at 2:20 p.m.
Jamason later told WPTV repairs were completed by 4 p.m. expected and workers spent some time testing afterward.
The bridge can be opened manually to allow boats waiting to pass.
