A fun effort in Palm Beach Gardens Sunday attempted to set a world record with the help of man and woman's best friend.
Dogs of all sizes smiled wide at Downtown at the Gardens for the event set by the business "Scenthound."
The purpose was to remind dog owners that basic preventive care for their pets needs to be not just outside.
"Up to 80-percent of dogs over the age of three have some form of periodontal disease and if you took regular care of your dogs' teeth, you could extend their life 3-4 years," said Tim Vogel with Scenthound.
WPTV's Jon Shainman emceed the event.
While the attempt fell just a few tails shy of the existing mark, participants said the camaraderie and good weather made up for it.
