The teams come from across the country and are made up of players around the age of 10.

The games are being played at Gardens Park off Military Trial in Palm Beach Gardens.

Organizers said more than 2,000 room nights have been booked so far. The games run from Aug. 4 to Aug. 12.

This is the first time the World Series has been held in Florida.

In Stuart, softball games are being held for ages 8, 10 and 12.
