Republican Brian Mast of Stuart and Democrat Randy Perkins of North Palm Beach were asked who they think should be the next president.

Mast says he supports Trump and accused Clinton of being wrong on policies regarding Iran, Guantanamo Bay and immigration.

Perkins reaffirmed his support for Clinton and says she will strengthen the U.S. economy and protect America’s national security interests.

The event was held at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens.

The seat is currently held by U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, who is seeking the U.S. Senate seat in the Nov. 8 election.

The next debate will be held on NewsChannel 5 Friday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m., which will be moderated by WPTV anchor Michael Williams.
