Seacoast Utility Authority says water service for all residents on Brackenwood Cove, Brackenwood Rd, Brackenwood Ter, Brackenwood Pl, and Brackenwood Cir will be temporarily disrupted on Wednesday, February 3 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Crews will be replacing a broken valve on a hydrant during that time.
Seacoast Utility Authority says once service is restored at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, residents should follow the Boil Water Instructions below until the advisory has been rescinded.
BOIL WATER INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Flush your internal lines. This can be accomplished by opening your taps and allowing the water to flow until all the air is expelled and the water runs clear.
2) Bring water to a rolling boil for one minute before using for cooking, drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes or making ice. If you have an ice maker or public drinking water fountain, turn it off and do not turn it back on until the precautionary boil water advisory has been rescinded.
3) This advisory will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe to drink.
