Investigators have released the 911 calls that brought firefighters to a gruesome double homicide scene Wednesday night.

"There was a fire and we pulled over,” said one of the callers. “Pretty positive there was a body burning on the side of the road."

Another driver called in to report seeing flames along Beeline Highway. However, when firefighters responded to those reports of flames, they discovered two bodies burned beyond recognition. That will make it difficult for investigators to identify the victims.

It's still not known exactly how the two people died or who may have killed them.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who may have been in that area between 8:45 and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to come forward.
