The Jupiter town council voted 3-2 on Tuesday night to approve the controversial Love Street project along the Jupiter Inlet.

Jupiter's town council was scheduled Tuesday night to vote on the controversial Love Street development

Last month council members decided to move forward with the plan to create retail, restaurant and office space on 3.8 acres along the Jupiter Inlet.

More than 3,800 people have signed an online petition in opposition to the project.
