JUPITER, Fla. — A man who broke into a car and set it on fire has been arrested, Jupiter police said Monday.

Tyrease Lyons, 22, faces charges of first-degree arson, occupied residential burglary, burglary to a conveyance and trespassing.

Police said they were called to a vehicle and residential fire about 3 a.m. Monday in the Bluffs community. When they arrived, they noticed several vehicles along Seashore Drive had been burglarized.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., officers who were still in the area received a call from a resident saying that the suspect was in the backyard of a neighbor's home.

Police apprehended and arrested Lyons, who they said was hiding in the area.

According to a news release, Lyons broke into a vehicle, opened the garage door and started the fire.

Police said Lyons has also been identified as a missing person by the Lauderhill Police Department.
