Residents of a Jupiter mobile home park are barricading themselves against a fence that was installed last week.

Residents of “Suni Sands” said they are protesting the structure and blocking the only opening of the fence.

A developer is planning to build a $30 million hotel on the property, forcing residents from the property.

"We have a lease.  We have a prospectus that gives us the rights to use the water. Actually this is all supposed to be open, and the town says their hands are tied and there's nothing they can do about it," said “Suni Sands” resident Tom Ryan.

Residents say they plan to stay as long as they can. The park's manager declined to comment.
