The Jupiter Police Department is heading up an investigation that's grabbing national attention. Michelle Fields, a reporter for Brietbart claims Donald Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski assaulted her at Tuesday's Trump rally at Trump International.

Fields tweeted a photo of a bruise on her arm. She claims Lewandowski grabbed her hard enough to leave the bruise. A Washington Post reporter claims he saw the incident.

WPTV was rolling during the time Fields claims she was assaulted, however because of the angle, it's hard to see what, if anything, happened. Other news outlets had different angles, but Fields and Lewandowski appear to move out of frame in them.

Trump's campaign released this statement regarding the accusations that reads in part:

"The accusation which has only been made in the media and never addressed directly with the campaign, is entirely false."

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- A reporter for a conservative news website has filed a police report alleging that she was battered at a Donald Trump press conference in Florida.

Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields filed the report with the Jupiter, Florida, police department Friday. Police released a heavily redacted copy of the report, saying specific details are confidential as part of an ongoing investigation.

On the Breitbart website, Fields has said she was forcibly grabbed by the arm and yanked. She posted photos of her bruised arm.

Originally, Breitbart and The Washington Post reported that the 28-year-old reporter was grabbed by Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.

Breitbart backed away from that allegation Friday, posting a story that says video shows Fields' was likely accosted by another man.

Trump's campaign has vehemently denied Lewandowski grabbed Fields.
