Loggerhead turtle rescued after being found upside down

A female loggerhead turtle was rescued after being found upside down and wedged between rocks at Blowing Rocks Preserve.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission along with Nature Conservancy staff  flipped over and lifted the turtle up and they say "she quickly crawled back into the water and swam off like a champ."

The FWC advises the community to help nesting sea turtles by filling in any holes that you dig in the sand.

To report any injured or distressed sea turtles call FWC Wildlife Alert Hotline at 1888-404-FWCC (3922).
