Jupiter police officers save woman trapped in sinking car

Six Jupiter police officers saved a woman trapped in a sinking car Wednesday.

Police said the car was submerged in a canal off Maplewood Drive.

The patient was taken to an area hospital with no apparent life threatening injuries.

"A special thanks to Sergeant Peter Tremblay and Officers Matt Owen, Russel Counts, James Albano, Jeff Bernstein, and Nickolas Brandt who rushed into the water to save the life a woman who accidentally drove her vehicle into a canal off of Maplewood Drive," the Jupiter Police Department said in a post on their Facebook page.
