JUPITER, Fla. — A Jupiter business is taking time to honor four-legged heroes.
On Thursday, DogsWorld presented a $10,000 donation to the U.S. War Dogs Association.
Lenna, a retired U.S. war dog, was on hand for the celebration.
The nonprofit group provides support for hero dogs and their handlers.
DogsWorld owner Justin Phillips said they happy to honor these very special pups.
“A lot of people don’t realize that on any given day we have tens of thousands of dogs fighting to protect American military men and women and civilians overseas and all around the world, so we owe them a great debt. It’s a cause that's really dear to our hearts here,” said Phillips.
This is the fourth year that DogsWorld has partnered with the U.S. War Dogs Association.
