JUPITER, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say two South Florida police officers saved a driver from a burning car.

The Palm Beach Postreports that the Jupiter officers responded to a crash Wednesday evening. The car's engine was on fire and another person was trying to get the driver out of the vehicle.

The rescue happened near Indiantown Road and Military Trial.

Officials say K-9 Officers Kimbark and Curcio were able to break the driver-side window and cut the airbag so the person could be pulled out of the car.

The person was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
