Storms cause localized flooding

Multiple reports of flooding in Northern Palm Beach county tonight. Heavy rain left Juno Beach Park under water.

Parts of the parking lot are completely flooded and its expected to get even worse the next 24 hours. The Jupiter-Tequesta area was hit especially hard this afternoon with high winds and torrential downpour.

Eric Goldstein was working Turtlefest and he says the wind took down several tents forcing the event to end early.

He also parked his car in the middle of the flooded parking lot. Luckily he was able to get out, but he says it's frustrating after a long day.

"We live in Florida. We'll see what happens. Supposed to rain tomorrow late afternoon, early evening. We'll see what happens," says Goldstein.

Only drive through standing water if you know it is not too deep. However, if it is more than four inches deep, you're advised not to drive through it.
