JUNO BEACH, Fla. -- A record breaking crowd turned out for the 16th annual Turtlefest in Juno Beach on Saturday.
The free event is held by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
It's a way for the sea turtle hospital to thank the community for all of their support in a fun and educational way.
Jennifer Bickel attended the event and said, "What we're doing to save the sea turtle... is ultimately investing in saving our ocean. And when we save our ocean, we invest in the health of our planet."
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is getting ready for a big expansion.
The staff tells WPTV the project will triple it's campus size, increasing turtle patient capacity and educational space.
