JUPITER FARMS, Fla. -- As the search continues for theperson who killed 63-year-old David Middleton, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has released the 911 call that alerted them to his death.

A UPS delivery driver first noticed Middleton in his Jupiter Farms yard Monday.

On the call he said, in part. “I'm a UPS driver, I'm going down 179th. Customer laying in the yard. Looks like there's blood on him.”

He later said, “He's not breathing at all. He’s got blood everywhere.”

Middleton had been shot to death and the detectives have classified the case as a homicide.

The driver continued to tell the dispatcher that the garage door to Middleton's home was open and a dog was still on a leash.

Records also show Middleton owned a business in the food service industry which dissolved less than a month ago.

Sheriff's deputies say the community is not in danger. But the search continues for the person responsible.

The department urges anyone with information to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
