The Florida Highway Patrol says a trooper is now out of the hospital after getting hit by a car on I-95 in Martin County Monday morning.
FHP says Trooper Mithil V. Patel was working a crash scene near Exit 96, Bridge Road in Hobe Sound.
A gray car was rear-ended, lost control, spun out, then slammed into Trooper Patel, according to investigators.
He was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but has now been released.
FHP said Trooper Patel suffered a concussion, as well as bruising and lacerations, but did not break any bones.
The Florida Highway Patrol says it will hold a news conference with Trooper Patel on Friday at 11 a.m.
