A suspected serial bank robber was taken into custody as he stepped out for breakfast Tuesday morning, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators suspect Anthony Carpino, 45, robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in Palm City Monday afternoon.

He’s also suspected of several bank robberies around Florida, according to the FBI.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says detectives began receiving tips after the department posted Carpino’s picture on its Facebook page.

One tip pointed law enforcement to the hotel where Carpino was staying in Daytona Beach.

He was arrested in an operation involving the sheriff’s office, FBI, Daytona Beach police and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
