It's been a busy weekend so far, but deputies expect Monday to be the busiest by far.
They typically see an increase in alcohol-related incidents out on the water. Deputies are reminding boaters to always have a designated driver and make sure all of your safety gear is in compliance as well.
"We're looking for everything, overloading of vessels. We're looking to make sure everybody is safe. Underage drinking is a big thing. Basically we want everybody to have a good time without anyone getting hurt," says Mike Joseph with the marine unit.
Deputies along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will be stopping boaters to make sure they are in compliance and have the right amount of life jackets on their vessels.
