Martin County deputies have ‘quacked’ a burglary case.

The sheriff’s office says a woman was walking her dog and when she returned to her Palm city home and found her front door open.

She heard noises inside and thought it might be a burglar so she called 911.

Two responding deputies went inside and found who was running afoul of the law.

It was a duck.

The sheriff’s office says they captured the fine-feathered intruder without ruffling any feathers.

The bird was later released.
