MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. -- A man died Saturday night in a head-on collision on Kanner Highway in Martin County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Pedro Tomas-Sabastian of Indiantown was driving a 2002 Saturn Z-Type westbound on Kanner Highway at 9:25 p.m. Saturday when he partially crossed into the eastbound lane and struck the left-front side of a 2014 Chevrolet 300.
Sabastian's vehicle came to rest on the grass shoulder facing southeast and the Chevrolet rotated clockwise and overturned onto its left side in the eastbound lanes.
Pedro Tomas-Sabastian was pronounced dead at the scene. FHP says he was not wearing a seat belt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
