JENSEN BEACH, Fla. -- The Martin County Sheriff's Office says an older man was struck and killed by a train in downtown Jensen Beach Monday evening.
The sheriff's office says the person was struck at 7:25 p.m. at the intersection of Pineapple Avenue and NE Jensen Beach Boulevard.
Officials say the train was on its way from Jacksonville to Miami at the time of the accident.
The sheriff's office is still investigating what lead to the accident.
An autopsy will likely take place Tuesday and officials hope to determine the identity of the victim.
Earlier Monday a man was fatally struck by a train in Lantana, Fla.
