A St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office corrections deputy was arrested Thursday. This comes a week after her husband, a Martin County corrections officer, was arrested for allegedly selling cell phones to inmates.
Investigators say Ingrid Yearby arranged a bank scam to deposit $875,000 into her account.
According to FDLE, Yearby texted with an inmate at Martin Correctional Institution who told her about access to a deceased person's account.
Ingrid Yearby was booked into the Martin County Jail on $5,000 bail.
