A fire caused more than $1 million in damage to heavy construction equipment in Indiantown Sunday, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators are trying to determine if lightning cause the fire.
The sheriff's office said the fire happened around 2 p.m. in the 13000 block of SW Minute Made Road to the equipment owned by Blue Goose Construction.
A deputy on patrol in Indiantown noticed smoke coming from the site and responded to the scene, officials said. He called Martin County Fire Rescue to the scene.
The deputy said the equipment was locked behind a fence.
