The water at a Rio marina was once too toxic to touch.
Friday, people were jumping in.
The crew from Ecosphere Technologies jumped into the water at Outboards Only in Rio.
They've spent the last week cleaning the algae in the water there.
Now they're calling on the federal government to step in to give more financial support for solutions like theirs.
The water they jumped into today was collected and sent to the state to be sampled.
In their own tests they say the water is no longer toxic and the levels of oxygen are back to a healthy level.
However, they are awaiting those state test results.
