16 migrants were taken into custody Friday morning in Martin County. They include 15 Haitians and 1 person from Jamaica.
A search for 4 more continues.
A command post has been set up just south of the county line at Coral Cove Park in Tequesta.
The migrants came ashore on a boat about 9 a.m. near Blowing Rocks Preserve.
Right now, the investigation is ongoing to see if the boat was the same vessel that was escorted from the Sailfish Marina in Palm Beach County earlier Friday.
The Border Patrol and Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office are also taking part in the search for the 4 who are unaccounted for. They include a girl about 10 to 12-years old.
Dogs and ATVs are being used to try and locate the group.
Residents in the Jupiter Island area are asked to call the sheriff's office if they see anything suspicious.
Those taken into custody are said to be in good health.
This story will be updated when more information is available.
