Vero Beach High School will be closed Wednesday after severe flooding Tuesday, the school district announced.
Classes are canceled at the Vero Beach High School main campus and Freshman Learning Center due to water intrusion issues that were experienced during the severe rain and flooding that took place on Tuesday.
All staff are also being instructed not to report for duty as well.
The remaining schools in the district will be open on Wednesday, and classes will begin at the regularly scheduled times.
Also, all bus routes are on schedule to take place at their normal times as well.
Staff said they are taking the necessary precautions to ensure that the conditions are safe before students return to class.
