Two starving and neglected puppies are getting treatment in Vero Beach.

The 5-month-old bulldogs were found on the golf course at Vero Beach Country Club.

They were taken to the Humane Society of Vero Beach for treatment.

Vero Beach police are trying to find out who is responsible for their poor condition.

“As animal advocates, The Humane Society and Vero Beach Police Department will do everything possible to seek justice for these animals,” Humane Society Executive Director Chalmers Morse said in a news release.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Humane Society at (772) 388-3331 ext. 28 or the Vero Beach Police Department at (772) 978-4600. You can also contact Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS (8477).

The Humane Society is also asking for donations to help defray the cost of medical care for the animals who are being treated for starvation and mange.
