A death investigation is underway in Vero Beach after first responders answered the call of an injured person at an apartment.
When paramedics and the Indian River County Fire Department arrived to the residence in the 600 block of Royal Palm Boulevard they had to force their way inside, according to police.
They found a man, identified as 32-year-old Nathan Fox, with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities said he later died at a hospital.
Police said an autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
