The body of a U.S. Navy petty officer and Vero Beach High School graduate returned home to Indian River County overnight.
Jonathan Richard Clement was killed July 31 when he suffered severe head injuries during a helicopter training mission at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, California.
His body was brought to a Vero Beach funeral home just after midnight Thursday.
About 100 people were in the motorcade to honor Clement.
Clement graduated from Vero Beach High School in 2006 where he played baseball and football.
There will be a memorial service this weekend.
