Chief Meteorologist Steve Weagle was in Sebastian Monday to kick off his 120-mile bike ride through the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County.
Now in his 17th year, Steve will spend five days riding a bicycle from Sebastian to Boca Raton to mark the beginning of hurricane season and raise awareness of the Red Cross.
His bicycle will be auctioned off on eBay and the money donated goes to the Red Cross chapters in our area.
Before he stared his trek, he accepted a $1,000 donation to the Red Cross from Captain Hiram's.
